Maintaining the correct moisture content throughout the production and storage of hay and straw is crucial to ensure a good quality product. The FX 2000 can accurately monitor the moisture content of the crop ranging between 13% to 40% from the tractor while baling. By removing the meter and attaching a probe for hand held use the unit can be used all year for continuity of quality.
Connecting the hand held FX2000 meter in the tractor cab to a sensor in the bale chamber, you can constantly monitor the moisture content as you bale. The FX2000 meter can be connected to a 12v power supply while in the tractor.

A DSE4200 baler moisture tester kit contains a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter sends out a microwave signal through the bale, while the receiver receives the attenuated signal that is calculated into a moisture percentage. The operator has the overview in the tractor cabin where the measurement results of the straw or hay are displayed.
